Michael McSweeney - Career Technical Education Coordinator

Michael provides resources and support for Donald Chaiken Building Industry Technology Academy instructors and students. He represents the construction industry by educating school districts, counselors and parents on the growing demand for skilled craftspeople and viable career paths construction has to offer. He has 35 years experience as a General Contractor and served as Sr. Housing Policy Advisor for the San Diego BIA. Michael joined BITA in 2021.

— Prepared and produced construction estimates for projects averaging $650K and 6-9 months in duration, developed and managed full scope of work, acquired permits, and provided Quality Assurance (QA).
