Ep.78 - Should You Tithe to Charity Instead of the Church? A Biblical Perspective on Giving

Is giving to charity the same as tithing? Many generous people support meaningful causes, fund important work, and make a real difference in the world…but quietly neglect the one place Scripture prioritizes first—the local church. In this episode of Rich, Young & Powerful, Andrew McNair walks through what the Bible actually says about where your tithe belongs and why this isn’t just a financial decision, but a spiritual one.He unpacks three challenges for anyone who gives to charity in place of the church:• What God says about the tithe and the “storehouse”• How good intentions can subtly replace God’s priorities• Why your motives in giving matter more than you thinkThis is not about discouraging generosity, it's about aligning it.Because giving isn’t just about impact… it’s about obedience. Not just about doing good… but honoring God’s design. If you’ve ever wrestled with where your giving should go, this conversation will bring clarity and conviction.Tithe faithfully. Give generously. Live with purpose.Find more resources at RichYoungPowerful.com/blog.
