Ep. #79 - Using Red Light Therapy to Tune Back Into Nature - with Melissa Strahan
from The Portal Podcast with Britt Deanda
It was winter in Minnesota, and Melissa Strahan was struggling with eczema. She’d actually been trying to get rid of it for some time, so when she heard that red light therapy was great for skin problems she committed to going to a salon five days a week for six weeks. Six weeks later her eczema was gone and her skin was glowing. She doesn’t attribute that all to red light therapy - she was also doing Kundalini yoga and sticking to non-inflammatory foods, but she believes it was an integral part of the puzzle. As a busy mom of six kids, Melissa found it difficult to squeeze in almost daily visits to the salon. She and her husband, an engineer, began making homemade devices, and this led to the formation of Joovv. Joovv sells portable and larger red light therapy devices that you can use in your home or on the go.
