Ep.8 Robber Chomping (Shoplifters)
from The Snobcast Hosted by RIOT NZ
MAJOR SPOILER ALERT! Absolutely do not listen to this episode before you’ve seen the movie!! Changing things up: just one movie this episode - the 2018 Palme d’Or winner, Shoplifters. A Japanese kitchen sink drama about a family of shoplifters who take in a little girl, freeing her from an abusive household. It’s a lovely little film filled with nuance and important social questions but these two dickheads still manage to talk about spunk and breasts in the middle of it all! Also, Macaulay Culkin - we hardly knew ye. Trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9382rwoMiRc
