Ep 81 - Hamudi
from The Poets Hosted by The Poets
I'm joined by Hamudi, a Palestinian-American poet sharing work about Palestine, the ongoing war and genocide, love, memories, the ocean, death, and much more. Really a wonderful set of poems in this one. We talk about liberation in our lifetime, avoiding apathy, and continuing the conversation and the fight against oppression. Catch Hamudi before he moves to LA at the upcoming Poets for Palestine event at Saj Fresh Grill this Friday May 31st at 8pm (signup at 7:30, come as early as you can.) Hamudi will also be featuring alongside friend of the show Em Dorman at the Gypsy House Cafe open mic this Thursday at 7pm. Follow Hamudi on IG @palestinianbrunette and be on the lookout for an upcoming collection of poetry, Tears of the Olive Tree, which we discuss in the episode. https://decolonizepalestine.com/ — Questions?
