Ep 82: Emerge Throwdown with artists Louise Schollaert and Marnie Herald

Talking about Emerge's annual Ceramic Throwdown and Cup Frenzy! This very fun, high energy event is a local favorite with the unique competitions between experienced ceramicists blindfolded on the wheel, and given certain criteria to create a spontaneous piece. There also are hundreds of mugs available on a first-come, first-serve basis for a minimal price. Art demonstrations, live music and an exhibit all make for a fun evening. We visit with potters, Louise and Marnie, who tell us about their experience and about the event itself. Emerge is a collective art experience engaging all members of the community in a variety of high-quality creative outlets while offering a platform for emerging artists to cultivate their careers as professionals.
