This is Play That Rock n' Roll's interview with Gary Graff, editor of "501 ESSENTIAL ALBUMS OF THE '90s: The Music Fan's Definitive Guide and the co-author of "TRAVELIN' MAN: On the Road & Behind the Scenes with Bob Seger"! In this conversation, we discuss both books. First we talk about how the ‘90s book came to be and what makes the albums included here *essential*. Gary also expands on a few Classic Rock albums that he wrote the reviews for, specifically albums from the Eagles, Meat Loaf, John Fogerty, and even the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The second part of this interview is about Bob Seger. We discuss how TRAVELIN’ MAN got put together and what makes this era of Bob’s career so special. We also discuss why Bob did not make the cut for the ‘90s book, his old-school approach to the music business, and Gary also shares some of his favorite memories of seeing Bob in concert.
