EP 84: Stand Still with JB Psalm (Janita Burke)

from Pray Plan Slay Podcast · host Pray Plan Slay Podcast

This week we are discussing how to Stand Still and trust God with Musical Artist JB Psalm. Janita is a qualified lawyer who has had a successful career in the commercial (re)insurance industry. She is committed to being a strategic partner and providing client-focused solutions. Her focus on quality service, client engagement, empathy, and ability to manage complexity has enabled her to build strong relationships with and in-still confidence in both internal and external stakeholders. Her energy, optimism and ability to relate are inherent in all of her stakeholder engagements Janita finds mentoring young people as well as the present and next generation of leaders tremendously rewarding. Both the former YouthNet where she served as a mentor for many years, and WeSpeak, which she currently works with, have provided her with these opportunities. Volunteerism is one of Janita's key values and has afforded her the opportunity to lead several charitable initiatives.  Stand Still was written by, Janita Burke following the news that my dear friend, the late Sandy Young shared with me on the night of 23 April 2020 after she was hospitalized with COVID like symptoms but diagnosed with pneumonia. She shared with me that they saw something on her scan and thought that it was cancer that was spreading. Late that night and into the early hours of the morning, I cried out to God on behalf of my sister and in the 1st person penned by dialogue with Him. Two scriptures featured prominently in this exchange, a reminder that God is one with His word and uses His word because it's eternal.  ANNOUNCEMENTS  Work with our host Shaunté Saphire: https://www.shauntesaphire.com  You can now send questions for the "Ask Shaunté" segment on the podcast.
