John Almarode is an associate professor of education and the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning in the College of Education at James Madison University, and in this episode, he brings the intellectual boom. Physical-participating in purposeful motions and physical activities that directly connect to the content Cultural-various cultures feel accepted, the environment does not class with cultures or make particular cultures feel unwelcome. (careful not to just tell the stories of old dead white men) (help students identify lines where personal freedoms and societal ethics converge) Behavioral- teach positive behavior in how students attend school, follow expectations, and treat others. Emotional-feeling good while at school. (Procrastination is a result of avoiding bad feelings. Many students don’t do school work because they don’t feel good doing the work) remember how you made them feel Social- the act of students participating in a community of people, following social norms, and monitoring and adjust their interactions in new settings.
