Ep.89: Queerness, Brotherhood, and the Power of Male Connection with Alessandro Rōz
from Can't Host: Gay, Bisexual, and Queer Men’s Sex and Relationships
Download my FREE 'Dick Magnet Subliminal Affirmations' at https://georgelizos.com/dickmagnetCan't Host Merch: https://www.bonfire.com/store/canthost/In this episode, I sit down with Alessandro Rōz to explore masculinity, queerness, brotherhood, and what becomes possible when men learn how to connect beyond performance, fear, and social conditioning. We talk about Alessandro’s journey through the world of men's work, the challenges queer men face in predominantly straight male spaces, and how many of us learn to shape-shift and mask parts of ourselves in order to feel safe and accepted. Together, we explore why so many queer men feel disconnected from other men, the impact of bullying and heteronormative culture, and how healing those wounds can unlock entirely new ways of relating. We also dive into some of Alessandro’s most viral ideas, including why he believes all men contain a natural capacity for homoerotic connection, how queer men act as bridges between masculine and feminine energies, and why modern culture often reduces male connection to either "fuck" or "kill." Along the way, we discuss eros, intimacy, queer ancestry, spirituality, the growing movement of straight men exploring their queerness, and practical tools for cultivating deeper presence in both relationships and sex. This episode is an invitation to rethink what connection, masculinity, and queer community can look like when love is placed back at the center. Growing up as the only gay child in an all-male family in northern Italy, I learned early to make myself smaller to belong. After a decade in Hollywood and an Emmy-nominated production, I followed a deeper calling into the Peruvian Amazon, apprenticing with Shipibo, Mestizo, and Ashaninka teachers. I later facilitated more than twenty men's retreats worldwide with Sacred Sons before creating spaces specifically for queer men. Today, I blend shamanic practice, somatic embodiment, IFS, mirror work, and erotic ritual through Bloom and Brotherhood of Lovers, a queer-led mystery school I co-founded with Langston Kahn.
