Her work has evolved from doing therapy in an Airstream trailer by the beach to sitting on the beach side by side with people. This humanizing work aims to take the shame out of healing, bringing therapeutic work out into the world. They talk about the ways society views therapy and consider new entry points and invitations into this kind of healing work. If the price of admission has been brokenness, how can we approach therapy with a reimagined sense of wholeness and agency? The temptation to give our power away to those who have a perceived sense of authority makes so much sense and can even feel comforting.
