Ep: 9: Rejection and Closed Doors

from Wait on Purpose

Rejection: 1. the dismissing or refusing of a proposal, idea, etc. 2. The spurning of a person's affections. 3. A deliberate turning away We all have dealt with rejection. Rejection stems from something rooted in our need to be accepted and approved by others and It hurts but it doesn't have to hold us back or alter how we view ourselves. Because It's not when someone rejects us or tells us NO that hurts, its what it confirms we already feel about ourselves that really hurt. Are you rejecting yourself to prevent others from rejecting you? When people reject you, or when a door closes in your face, does it make you feel inadequate? Unworthy? Not good enough? Why? In this episode, I talk about how rejection can alter our self-confidence and hold us back from living in our true power. Rejection can bring out the savage in you or bring out the best in you. It's your choice. Closed doors and rejection can make you humble, compassionate and empathetic. A blessing in a disguise. ------------------------------- Leftovers What can you do TODAY to get rejected?
