Ep. 9: VERB NYC gives KAREN the "BLACK PASS" #Juneteenth
from Sips Tea @ the Bodega · host xoxo MC
Holla! Juneteenth is a mf'n holiday now! Today's episode focuses on the problem with people in Black Culture who give Karens the "black pass" to say the N-word. More importantly, I focus on the slander black/brown women endure in regards to mental health and motherhood by such Karens to addressing the cover art and comments in which Verb NYC's (a creative group who supports black artists through events/photography) founder supports Karen singing, sharing, and/or saying the N-word. As a community, we should be more united and not allow white people to step outside of their race. We shouldn't tolerate such blatant disrespect. Most importantly, we need to dismantle the "Black Pass" culture as the black pass doesn't exist. I hope this episode teaches this community just that. I've personally and publicly invited @v3rb.nyc to Episode 10 to have a conversation for the culture.
