EP 9: What it means to “win” in business & break beliefs that don’t Align with Guest Rikki Smith

We had a great time discussing what it meant for Rikki growing up in the military with a set of ideas to let the “boys win.”  Don't be smarter or faster or be better than them in any way.  That was not a good thing to do to them. Going into business meant she had to find her voice, not worry about those teachings, and just be authentically who she was. Talking through how not everyone is your friend just because, but to choose your friends, choosing those that are willing to disagree with you, but still willing to support you. Those are the ones that love you and all that you are.  Friends should not just be there just because you have known them forever. Being the smartest person in the room or not having anyone around you  growing isn’t good either. Being on a path of growth is the goal. She explained that we can make excuses, for too little time, money, and energy, but it takes a real belief in ourselves to build a business.  Make sure to tune into all the wonderful nuggets of wisdom that Rikki had to offer.
