An athlete himself, interest in MSK medicine was a great fit. Enjoying medicine and the ICU he decided to train as an Internist, but never lost his desire to treat athletes. Following residency, he matriculated into a Sports Medicine Fellowship where his skills and knowledge of OMM were in everyday use. He values all the modalities of OMT but has found great utility in the Fascial Distortion Model Technique in treating all patients with musculoskeletal pain not only athletes. He says although this technique may be painful but is not harmful. The body has inherent intelligence which communicates with us via the body language of the patient.
