Send us Fan MailHappy Thanksgiving! 🦃  In the spirit of the season, Cara is joined by 3 special guests from Global Sojourns Giving Circle, who put gratitude at the top of their list today, and every day!We first met founder Priscilla Plummer and mentor Gloria Mubita just over a year ago, when we explored how the GSGC operating model aligned with their mission. They empower young women and girls in Southern Africa who lack access to education or emotional services by partnering with local mentors and changemakers. These dedicated mentors provide guidance, leadership training, health education, and academic support with the aim of breaking the cycle of poverty, driven by the vision: Everyone Deserves the Opportunity to Live a Life of Dignity!Already making great inroads by 2022, the organization has flourished in the last year. Expanding services to include boys and young men has been culturally challenging, but mentor Nyika Muyambo’s successful strategy is evident in the boy’s clubs’ long wait lists. Together, Gloria and Nyika have stepped up their outreach game by starting a podcast, GSGC Talk Radio, which reaches a much wider audience. They ensure that as many young people and mentors as possible benefit from the support the clubs have to offer.
