I have been noticing that we are getting an influx of downloads week after week in this new year of 2021. Listen, y'all, I got some hot stuff brewing for you guys this year. I have guests coming on from different backgrounds, different walks of life because I think it is absolutely necessary to have other people's opinions, to have other people's skill sets, and just to have other people's motivation guys to come on this show and really, really help us all, all of us, right? Because every one of us are a work in progress.

We are not perfect, not even me. So listen, I think it is absolutely important as we are going into the new year as we have gone into the new year. We are now in February of 2021. I think it is very important for us to talk about self-discipline.

It is weird because, and I say weird because this is something that God has been challenging even me on, is being disciplined, being disciplined. For a while, I struggled with what are you trying to say? And areas that I am struggling in, what are you trying to say God? Why are you constantly whispering these words to my spirit saying self-discipline?

And I realize that what he was trying to explain to me is that there is a direct correlation between self-discipline and self-love. I realize that these two are directly aligned, that there is no self-discipline without self-love. And I don't know about you guys, but many of us have taken on task, right? We've set goals.

We've set goals that require self-love, okay? We've set goals for our self. Let's just say we've set goals to lose that 30 pounds or that 50 pounds or that 100 pounds. But in order to achieve that goal, we have to first address the mental things that we are telling ourselves that prohibit us from reaching that goal.

The mental bondage is where it starts. And normally, it starts with a lack of love for oneself. Now let's be clear, let's issue a disclaimer. I'm not saying everyone that is above the body mass index is insecure.

That's not what I'm saying. I'm speaking to those individuals that require discipline to actually accomplish the goals that they set up for themselves, right? So these are the people that let's just say, for example, want to lose that weight, right? We have to first address the mental ramifications that prohibit from happening.

See, the thing is, if the mind doesn't change, the body doesn't change. Many times we think, oh, I'm just going to get out here and work out and I'm going to cut all my carbs and I'm going to lose all this weight. But see what happens is, and we don't address the mental, the mental aspect to why we've gained that weight, then what happens, guys? It comes right back.

I know I went through it a few years ago. You can tell me nothing. I lost about 25 to 30 pounds, but I didn't address the mental aspect behind it. So what happened was once all of that rate came off, guess what?

Gated it all right back, guys. Gated it all right back and I thank God for just allowing me to enlightening me on the fact that in order for you to have self-discipline, you have to have love for yourself because here's the thing, if you love yourself and you know that the goal that you're trying to accomplish is important to yourself and yourself love. There's nothing that you will allow to stand in the way of that, meaning there's no amount of cupcakes, there's no amount of distractions that you will allow to stand in between you and that goal. I truly used to admire people that could get out there and be disciplined.

They could wake up in the morning and they can work out and you know what that requires. Again, a deep seated love for oneself, a deep seated love for your body. Many of us don't know whether there's life after death, right? That being said, this could be the only body you get.

How much do you love yourself to take care of it? How much do you love yourself to never disappoint yourself, to have standards, to have the discipline that it takes to get home and spend that four or five hours on working on your goal? One thing that is for certain is that those of us and I've been there, so I'm not chastising anyone. Okay?

I'm not an experienced today, guys. Those of us who have a habit of being distracted or not obtaining the goals that we've set out for ourselves, and this was something I struggled with for a long time until I finally said no more, right? Until I finally felt deeply and utterly in love with myself that I no longer wanted to disappoint myself. Think about all those people you love.

Think about all those men and women you've fallen in love with. You go above and beyond to make them happy. You go above and beyond to make sure that you do the things that you said you're going to do for them. I'm challenging you today to have that same discipline for yourself.

I have that same love for yourself. It is absolutely necessary in order for you to achieve your goals. So if you're questioning yourself, right? Right now you're saying, you know, I've been trying to lose this weight or I've been trying to write this book or I've been trying to combat the spirit of lust and combat the individuals that come into my life and they don't treat me the way that I know I deserve.

And you're trying to have that discipline to say no. And you're trying to have that self-discipline to say, this is my boundary and you may not cross it. Okay. I'm speaking to those individuals who have been struggling and tuggling with this with this goal and this and this thing that you're trying to accomplish and you're you're finding it hard to accomplish.

I'm asking you right now to take a step back and do what you need to do to fall deeply and love with yourself. The only reason why you're not accomplishing that goal is because you're lacking self-love for oneself. Let's be clear. If you love yourself, you wouldn't subject your body, mind and soul to somebody who does not appreciate it.

If you love yourself, you will get up and do what it takes to take care of yourself and whatever form that may manifest itself, right? For some of us, it's getting up and reading. For some of us is getting up and working out. I don't know what it is for you, but I can tell you this.

I challenge you to understand whatever it is you're struggling with. Check yourself, love, love. Check how much this means to you in your life and check how much you care. This is something that I had to do for myself.

Like I said, I went through that period and I lost all the weight and I gained it all back and I had to say why? Why? Why is all of this weight coming back? What am I doing wrong?

An entire time I'm focused so much on eating right in carbs and all of this crap, right? I never realized that if it's that important to you, if you are deeply in love with yourself, you won't put your body through that. You're deeply in love with yourself and your purpose and your vision. You will be diligent in following these goals.

You will be diligent in checking off those short term goals that you've set upon yourself for this year. You will be diligent. So before we talk about self-lo-discipline, let's address the lack of self-love in those particular areas. I promise you, once you address the lack of self-love in those particular areas, self-discipline falls in line.

I am a living testimony of that. Okay. I'm a cupcake, y'all, that I would love to eat right now. Okay.

As we speak, but I know that I have a goal in place and I have a goal that I'm trying to accomplish here. And I don't know about y'all, but let me tell you something with each and every day and every experience that I go through, I fall deeper in love with myself because eventually you learn how to reach within instead of outside to really find peace and to find the nourishment you lead. You need because the truth be told as long as you're reaching externally to find peace and externally to find validation, you will never feel at peace. Because people will often disappoint.

It doesn't mean that they meant to hurt you. It's just that you're giving them more power over your peace of mind, over your self-control than they have. Self-discipline is something that proves to the world. And more than anything, it proves to yourself that you love yourself enough to change.

This goes for men and women both. If you're out here giving your body away to anybody who gives you attention, is it really the sex that you're after or is it the fact that you are lacking something within and you need that affirmation, you need to feel wanted, you need to feel loved, you need this release because it is actually covering up an internal issue that you have yet to deal with because I can honestly tell you guys and I've met men that were disciplined enough not to give themselves away to every woman who wanted them. All men aren't like that. They're men out there that love themselves to really so much so that they're really disciplined when it comes to giving themselves to particular women.

But I've also met men that were friendly, let's just say, for like a better words. And these are typically the individuals that have internal battles going on. And that goes for men and women, okay? It's not just men.

But often we glorify the fact that men sleep with all these women but we don't recognize the fact that these men have internal issues that they're dealing with because once you come to the fullness of reaching inward for love instead of how you don't spread yourself around that then, you really don't. Listen, I challenge each and every one of you guys to make self-discipline your goal and to knock down every last barrier that is prohibiting you from accomplishing a disciplined life. And I assure you, somewhere along the line, self-love has to be evaluated. Your love for oneself has to be evaluated.

Okay? So, thanks again for joining in yet again another week. If you are in need of life coaching, feel free to email me at TNTGruvProject at gmail.com. Again, that is the letters TNTGruvProject at gmail.com.

As always, let's close out in prayer. Father God, I just thank you for allowing us to come together yet again another week. Father God, we praise you. We glorify your holy name.

We thank you for just strength, Father God. I pray that each one of us that struggle at times with just being disciplined and diligent in our goals, Father God, we pray that you knock down every barrier that prohibits us from accomplishing these goals that we've set out for ourselves, Father God. We pray that you break chains in the name of Jesus. We pray.

Amen. Listen y'all, until next week, I love y'all. Bye.
