Ep # 91 Hindered Prayers

Countless people today struggle with praying. Perhaps not the actual act, and perhaps not the faith in the request itself, but when there appears to be silence in response. Nothing. As if God doesn't care, or at the very least, isn't listening. And it may shock you to hear this, but the Bible does tell us that prayers can be delayed. But how? Today, Jim Barnhart takes us to 1 Peter 3, where we see Peter addressing a possible cause to a prayer that seems to go unheard. With great spiritual battles ever surrounding this world, Peter helps point us in the direction of ensuring our prayers reach the throne of God directly, and gives us courage in taking the next step in our lives toward this goal. You are sure to come away from this message with more boldness in your prayer life as we dive into "Hindered Prayers" High Forest Community Church www.highforestchurch.com Recorded: 1/4/26 For more information on how you can be certain of having eternal life, please contact us at [email protected] Our other links: Facebook: facebook.com/profile.php?id=61552868390256&mibextid=JRoKGi YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@highforestcommunitychurch Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/5l3baJZMvOJLYutaMDoVnv Apple Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/hfcc-christ-centered-hope-for-todays-world/id1753425592?i=1000673790907 Rumble: https://rumble.com/user/HighForestChurch We are a Bible-Based, Jesus Only small community church located in rural South-East Minnesota. Our building was originally constructed in 1861 and is the oldest protestant church building in continuous use in our county. Many people have come and gone throughout the generations, but our goal will always remain: To Serve Jesus only, and learn from His Living Word, the Scriptures. Our small church body are all admittedly sinners, that openly strive to improve our walk daily, but also understand that we are Redeemed by the shed blood of Christ Jesus and declared innocent in God’s eyes due to Grace Alone! There is no act of baptism, charity or observation of communion that deems us worthy. No amount of following the law of Moses, or the ever-popular observation of legalism in many churches today that will save us. That is us believing in ourselves, rather than what Christ did for us completely. If you struggle with understanding the concept of salvation or are plagued by false teachings of following traditions rather than Christ alone, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We would love to help! Please watch our archive of messages on a variety of topics.
