He started personal training in college and from there his passion grew. After finishing physical therapy school he took a step back from training to focus on his career, but after feeling very overwhelmed and burnt out with the first 3 years of post graduate school life he started to reflect on his chosen path. Despite his love for fitness and helping others see the joy an active lifestyle could bring he started to second guess his career choices. He saw a lot of other physical therapists around him in the same situation. After a year or so of looking inward he decided that it wasn’t the profession causing this feeling, but the healthcare/wellness system as a whole. This money driven, volume driven system was at fault. He emerged with much more purpose and two much more well defined goals. To reach more people with fitness and health before they became chronic victims of the healthcare system. And to do everything he could to learn more about improving organizational culture within the healthcare system for future medical professionals. From the former idea emerged very recently what is now empower fitness for all - currently an Instagram and facebook platform only. Each day he posts about basic topics in fitness to make them more digestible for people who want to get involved in fitness as well as videos with simple home exercise that can be done quickly. Shortly he will be releasing an e-book through this platform for people who are too busy, overwhelmed, or simply fearful of joining a gym or beginning a fitness program. He is determined to figure out where change can be made to help people – people who chose healthcare to make an impact on peoples lives! – enjoy their jobs and not feel burnt out.
