Ep. 93 - Keeping it real {mental health check-in}

from Empowering Her with Melody Pourmoradi · host Melody Pourmoradi

Hello Beautiful Listener, this week on my IG Page {https://www.instagram.com/girlifeempowerment/} I shared a vulnerable post about the repercussions of the pandemic and the toll that it has taken on me and on my family. I received an outpouring of love for keeping it real and using social media as a tool for connecting with others. I decided to speak on this as well on this week’s episode of our podcast. Take a listen to learn how to do your own mental wellness check-in and how to seek the support that you need to feel good and thrive through your own challenges. Here is what I shared on this specific post: "Don’t let this picture fool you. This past weekend we had a beautiful time celebrating our cousin who just got married - and while in this photo and during the entire evening we experienced many joyful moments, this is not representative of our week, month, or year. Just like everyone else, we are coping in our own way with the events of the last two years and the repercussions on our overall wellness. While life is not meant to be a struggle, sometimes it feels like one. In an effort to continue to keep it real, I want to share that while in this family photo, we are all smiling and filled with love for one another, this is not our day to day, everyday. It’s not anybody’s. I am quite intentionally sharing what is known on the gram as my highlight reel because well….I’m pretty sure you don’t want to see a pic of us crying, arguing or hurting. We all experience the full range of human emotions that are our birthright to feel. We all get stressed, we all have bad days {weeks, years} and yes, we all have the power to go through the muck, learn from it and dance our way to better days. If you’re struggling, please know that you are seen. Don’t give up on yourself, be patient with yourself and remember that the only way out is through….. Sending my love. xo, Melody"Let’s Stay Connected!As an empowerment coach, author, twin girl mom, and the creator of the GiRLiFE Academy, my mission is to help every woman and girl discover her voice and live a life that lights her up from the inside out.I’d love to connect with you and continue this beautiful journey together!🌟 Podcast: www.melodypourmoradi.com/podcast🌟 Instagram: @girlifeempowerment
