Born in Vermont and raised in Quebec, Tamara’s wild inspiration was sparked by family expeditions that included bikepacking the USA’s Continental Divide, kayaking the Sea of Cortez and mountaineering Mexico’s volcanoes. This unusual upbringing prompted Tamara to look beyond the status quo, write a business plan while at Middlebury College (VT) and head to the Mexican Pacific with her parents. In 2007, they created the Tailwind Jungle Lodge, an adventure lodge and retreat center. Today, Tamara and her family are still in the jungle; surfing, hiking and exploring alongside her parents, husband and 2 adventurous little kiddos.Life and business in the jungle has been a wild ride and Tamara shares her experience in Wildpreneurs (HarperCollins Leadership 2020)--a guidebook for turning passion into business.
