Ep. 97: Burnout Pt1: How it Feels

from The Charisse Report · host Charisse Kenion

This week’s episode is part one of a burnout miniseries. The first part is all about how burnout shows up in our bodies and the second part will focus on solutions we can try to make things feel a little bit better. So, in this episode I’ve invited six friends and former guests to send me their thoughts on burnout. You’ll hear from makeup artist and host of the Seriously Madeup podcast Rachel Estabrook; beauty content creators Sarah Novio and Alanna Campbell, artist Phoebe J Martin, herbalist and period coach Natasha Richardson and Lauren Napier of Lauren Napier Beauty. I wanted to share their thoughts because since 2019, we have changed the way we look at burnout. It’s gone from being something that might be frowned upon in the workplace, to a condition pretty much everyone struggles with at some time, particularly since the pandemic. And it can be incredibly damaging if we don't address it. I’d love to know your thoughts, so please tag me on social when you’re listening, and feel free to send in your own voice notes over on Instagram @beautymepodcast.
