Ep 98 - Climbing Out of Hell & Regaining Your Power

from Travel Like a Boss · host Johnny FD

She needed a hero, so that’s what she became. Meghan has an about me page that would either bring you to tears because of all that she's been through, or it'll inspire you to become stronger knowing that if she could make it through it all, and regain her power, so can you. In this episode Meghan Faye openly talks about being being assaulted as a teenager, and how she has dealt with PTSD and depression and how she has overcome it. She's now working as a certified personal trainer and living in Chiang Mai, Thailand.  This episode is both painful as well as enlightening so be warned. Whether you are living a quiet, boring hell such as being metaphorically chained to a desk or if you have been through a real hellish upbringing and life, there is escape, and Meghan explains how. The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
