We welcome Utah native and professional wildlife artist Joel Pilcher to the podcast. Born and raised in the Rocky Mountains and has always had a passion for the outdoors and the wildlife that resides there. As a kid, when someone asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up, his answer was always a wildlife artist.Joel's journey includes the construction industry, business world, entrepreneur, graphic designer and now full-time artist. Joel was practically raised on the job site and it's where he learned a lot of skills that have benefited him throughout his life. However, at age 22, Joel reached a point where he had to make the decision whether to chase his dream of becoming an artist. Joel worked as a graphic designer for two years then went on his own as a freelance designer. He co-founded a few businesses including a marketing firm called Zulu Six, the outdoor supplement company Mtn Ops, and Hoofit Socks. He learned a lot from the failures and successes experienced with each venture.
