Ep 98: Why You Don't Want to Be a Super Mom Coach

from Mom Coaches Getting Clients

If you want to be a super mom coach you're going to have to be a little less supermom. How's that for a contradiction? Building a life coaching business is not for the faint of heart. It takes stamina, a clear message on how you can help and lots of self-coaching. And you can't do that if you're all the things to all the people. When I think of Super Mom, I'm guessing it was a term picked up in the 80's. Can't help but think big hair, shoulder pads, latchkey kids. But when I think deeper, most of my moms are super. It's pretty impressive how many hats we all wear. But if we're not carefully tuned in to how much we're prioritizing everyone else's needs before our own, burn out can be just around the corner. This is especially true if you're coaching moms. You need to be less super if you want to make a difference and a profit.
