With this episode, we’re starting a new series where the three of us talk through internet phenomena we’ve all been noticing. For our first try, we’re diving into why group streaming has taken off so quickly. We look at how hosts are trained and managed, why viewers keep tipping and voting, and how platform rules shape these behaviors. We also unpack the similarities between group streaming and Japanese and Korean idol survival shows, and how “idol-training” style fan relationships are amplified inside livestreams.
