Sunday, February 11, 1990 was one for the books. Nelson Mandela was released from prison after 27 years of incarceration in South Africa. On that same day, just a few hours later, my only child, Kenneth Edward Boone II, was born at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City.
