EP070 - Sweet potato growing, successional veg sowing in a cold spring.

from Master My Garden Podcast · host John Jones

In episode 070 of Master My Garden podcast which is a short solo episode I talk about the sweet potato plugs that I have just received and will be growing in the tunnel for the first time which is really exciting. I have 7 varieties to try out all of which are grown by the superb Pat Fitzgerald from Fitzgerald nurseries. One of these varieties is from Pat's Treasure Island series which is basically an ornamental sweet potato that is grown in a container pot, it has beautiful leaves with the added bonus of being able to harvest sweet potatoes from the plant at the end of the season. I will also be trialing growing wasabi which Pat has also given me to try and is something I am really excited about. There will be a blog post on this episode very soon on my website.
