Nicolien de Kroon, een gewone moeder uit het Noord-Hollandse Andijk volgt haar roeping met heel haar hart en verstand. Samen met vele andere moeders en hun kinderen vult zij vanaf 1991, in 18 jaar, meer dan 200.000 bananendozen met onder meer medicijnen, voedsel, kleding en knuffels. Om… luister goed… deze hulpgoederen vervolgens persoonlijk naar de meest gruwelijke oorlogsgebieden en brandhaarden op de wereld te brengen. Hoe ze het gedaan heeft, ik vind het ongelofelijk. Het lijkt toch onmogelijk om o.a. het kantoor van president Gorbatsjov tot de nok toe te vullen met hulppakketten. Moeder Teresa te ontmoeten, die je adviseert en de naam voor je organisatie bedenkt: Motherhood. Terwijl er thuis ook nog eens 4 kleine kinderen je aandacht vragen.
