EP103: Dave Clarke
from Electronically Yours with Martyn Ware Hosted by Martyn Ware
Today’s episode of Electronically Yours features one of the most famous UK DJ’s to emerge during the techno boom in the 90’s – Dave Clarke. Hip hop and post-punk were his initial major influences, including The Damned. He quickly became fascinated by electronic production, forming his first band Hardcore on XL, then released a series of albums, leading to John Peel him self dubbing him ‘the Baron of Techno’. His moist recent album ‘The Desecration Of Desire’ in 2017 is a powerful work, and has recently become immersed in the world of photography, and still DJs around the world. Ladies and gentlemen – the Baron himself – Dave Clarke… If you can, please support the Electronically Yours podcast via my Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/electronicallyours
