Due to schemes like the Mukhya Mantri Maiya Samman Yojana (which has influenced female voters) and the emergence of a new player in the coal mining belt, Jairam Mahato, the contest has become increasingly close and intense. So the worry for the BJP is not that it is not gaining on tribal votes.
