EP104: Avoiding Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) While Thriving in the Winter

from The Fit Fig Podcast · host Steph

January is my least favorite month of the year in Alaska because it's cold, dark and depressing. It often feels like 31 days of pure torture. This year, I committed to going outside everyday and logging at least 100 miles outside fat biking, hiking, rucking and snowshoeing to help make it through the worst month unscathed. I was surprised to discover that the colder, more miserable the weather, the more motivated I was to spend time outside in it. Therein lies the answer: Stop hiding from inclement weather, instead, get out and enjoy it more often. You might find you actually kind of love it. Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/figarellesfitness
