EP105 Breath. It's Medicine | James Nestor

from Roll With The Punches · host Tiffanee Cook

He's a sports and science journalist, an author, speaker, film maker and a super interesting human.  I'm super lucky to have people like James Nestor give me a slice of their precious time and knowledge to banter behind the mics here at RWTP HQ. Nestor wrote the book Deep: Freediving, Renegade Science, and What The Ocean Tells Us About Ourselves, in 2014.  This book racked up an impressive bunch of accolades that quite frankly I'm just far to lazy to list here...  He produced the film 'The Click Effect' in 2016 and in 2020 he rolled out his latest labor of scientific love, the book Breath: The New Science On A Lost Art, which contains years of his collected and collated research and science on breathwork and the benefits of breathing correctly. It's a very interesting and eye-opening chat, it makes me hungry to learn more about breathing myself... so take a breath, sit back, and enjoy another epic episode.
