He spent the next two months fighting for his life. At one point, doctors told his wife and children to say goodbye because they didn't think he would live much longer. Afterwards, his wife spent the night holding the phone waiting for the call that would tell her Michael had died. The call never came. Instead, Michael made a miraculous recovery. Nurses called the 70-year-old their "miracle child".
