For most of us, at 24 the world is at our feet.  We are young and in our own minds we are invincible.  That too was Jesse Amato's outlook, until on January 13 at 8:15pm he collapsed during a game of futsal and went into sudden cardiac arrest. If you're a long time RWTP listener here, you'll likely be aware of the stats around surviving sudden cardiac arrest.  If you're not, well let me tell you know that the stats are mighty grim.  It literally takes a miracle to find yourself in circumstances where the chain of survival exists.  Sadly for Australia, many of you reading this won't even be all that familiar with what 'the chain of survival' is.  If CPR is not performed within 3-4 minutes the brain dies.  CPR alone keeps the brain alive (subject to brain damage pending time lost before commencement) then a AED device is needed to shock restart the hearts correct electrical rhythm. Jesse was fortunately one of those miracles and today he shares his experience and the impact that it has had on him. Another great episode with someone who rolled with the punches. Enjoy!
