How many 14 year old published authors do you know? Yamikani Kafungu has a wonderful imagination and free time on his hands which makes a great combination for a writer. I believe we will be hearing a lot more from this brilliant writer. Yamikani Kafungu was born in Kitwe, Zambia.  He immigrated to the United States with his family when he was 10..  He started writing Battle Cry when he was just 13 years old as a school writing competition - he ended up writing more than the maximum words allowed so he did not enter the competition. A group of his peers encouraged him to continue and Yamikani was driven to make something both eye-catching and interesting using inspiration from anime, books as well as video games.  After 10 months of hard work he published his first book.  Now the young author cannot get through the day without thinking about writing more books.
