EP159: It Will Be There When We Need It

In this episode of Under the Noise, Wyn Morgan and Kate Roberts explore why our minds tend to hold onto criticism and painful experiences more strongly than everyday beauty or kindness. They explain how the personal mind naturally prioritizes negative information as a way to keep us safe, and how understanding this can bring unexpected peace. Rather than labeling this as a flaw, they invite listeners to see it as part of being human, and to gently witness these thought patterns without judgment. The conversation touches on how repetitive negative thoughts can shape our identity, yet remain simply information, not truth. Through personal stories and metaphors, including one about trees shedding leaves, Wyn and Kate highlight the wisdom of life’s natural rhythms and the power of not rushing to fix discomfort. This episode is a warm reminder that self-acceptance and presence can bring more freedom than resistance ever will. If you have any questions or comments for Wyn or Kate, please email us!
