EP18: The power of passion and gratitude - feat Luciano Basile

Talking to Luciano Basile felt like one of those rare opportunities where you can sit down with a mentor, ask some questions, take out your pen and just start listening and jotting down note after note, nugget after nugget. What more can I say about the multiple times “Coach of the year” and Champion in France, with more than 40 years of experience of leading groups of people, other than thank you! His life experiences and the way he was letting down his mask and he was sharing not only the highs, but also the lows of his career, gave me material for a great episode of “74wantsMore”, filled with wisdom, honesty and inspiration. Luciano Basile is a special person and a special sports coach, that is for sure, and it has been more than a pleasure to listen to his wisdom about so many topics that included: • Why he got hooked to the profession of coaching and teaching • The secrets of a coach to build trust and establish leadership • Having the courage of being yourself • Why winning is not the goal, but a byproduct of what you do • That downtime is a great chance to reflect and develop • How to get yourself out of a mental hole • What to be grateful for and redesigning yourself • Secrets to winning with a team I hope you enjoy listening to the show and thank you for taking the time!
