Ep212: International Men's Day - From A Woman's Perspective

from Podvan Podcast with Rabbit · host Podvan Media

I was in a horrible place recently. And even when a friend offered to listen, I told them I was fine. (I wasn't). This chat with my old colleague Larissa is about International Men's Day... and why she's championing it. We talk about why it feels 'controversial' to even celebrate men, and the awful stats (three-quarters of suicides are male) that prove why we need to. We get into why we (as blokes) feel like a burden, why we struggle to talk, and why I've now promised to call one of my best mates (result below). I think this is a really important chat.We do mention suicide in this one, so if you're not in a great space yourself right now, maybe give this one a skip? And remember, Lifeline provides a free, 24-hour crisis support service. If you need to, call them on 13 11 14.If you enjoy this episode, feel free to leave a comment - or maybe rate the podcast if you haven't done so yet? Thanks heaps!!Wanna check out all things Podvan? ⬇️Facebook | Instagram | FB Group | Podvan Website | YouTube | TikTokThis is a Podvan Media production.* And yeah, Matt answered and we had a great chat. 🤗
