EP225: Easing the Pain of Childhood Trauma with Lisa Tickel
from The Heal Thrive Dream Podcast · host Karen Robinson
Lisa Tickel is a resilient survivor of childhood abuse, dedicated to an inspiring journey of healing and transformation. After spending many years in survival mode, simply trying to get by, Lisa worked diligently to heal and reach a new chapter in her life. Her personal experiences have empowered her to help others embark on their own healing journeys. Her goal here is to help others shorten their suffering and she offers two ways to help others.First, Lisa is the host of the podcast “Healing & Growing, Hand in Hand,” created to help ease the pain and suffering of childhood abuse and trauma survivors. Drawing from her personal experiences, Lisa shares stories of abuse and healing while offering a safe space for others to have a voice and share their journeys. There are 4 pillars the podcast is about:Sharing Stories. Guests bravely share their stories of childhood abuse/trauma and their healing journey.Experts. Experts and Professionals bring resources and tools to help in the healing process.Awareness. Guests bring awareness to childhood abuse/trauma in lesser-known areas, such as abuse in childhood sports.Preventative. Experts and Professionals bring advice on preventing childhood abuse and help reduce childhood traumatic events. For eight years, Lisa co-facilitated a powerful women’s workshop, guiding hundreds of women as they begin or deepen their healing development. Reflecting on her experience, Lisa shares, “It was an honor to help these incredible women start their healing journeys, watching them blossom, connecting with one another, and creating new friendships. The impact of their healing extended beyond themselves to their loved ones as well.” She has created an 8-week “Women’s Childhood Abuse Healing Workshop” and offers it to women who want to begin or go deeper into their healing journey. The Workshop is an online and confidential setting where the groups are small to keep it intimate and safe. After the Workshop, the women can join the Women’s Healing Community to continue to get support and help. Right now, it’s only offered in the United States, but she will be looking for others to offer this Workshop around the world.Beyond the mic and Workshop, she cherishes moments with her blended family, especially with the grandchildren. She and her husband enjoy going on long walks or hikes with their two dogs, Ace & Blackjack. She also enjoys spending time with friends, working in her garden or cooking up a new recipe.Websites:HealingandGrowingHandinHandPodcast.comWomensChildoodAbuseHealingWorkshop.comCheck out - Tim Fletcher Modified ACE: https://www.timfletcher.ca/c-ptsdselfevaluationsConnect with Lisa:TikTok: @lisatickelInstagram: @lisamtickelYouTube: @lisamtickelLinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/lisatickel/Join our supportive group community:Https://HealingFromTraumaTogether.com/ www.facebook.com/groups/healthrivedreamConnect with me:Gmail: [email protected]: https://www.instagram.com/healthrivedream_Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/healthrivedreamYouTube: https://youtube.com/@traumarecoveryexpertTwitter: https://twitter.com/healthrivedream LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/karenrobinson2022/Website: Https://HealThriveDream.com/Podcast: Http://HealThriveDreamPodcast.com/blogLoved this episode?
