Well, I ask someone who's raised her hand against all sorts of crazy odds and vastly more often than not, came out on top. With over 50 amateur fights and 29 professional bouts there's no denying that 'Shotgun' Shannon O'Connell is one of Australia's very best female boxers. Ranked #8 Bantamweight in the world and #1 Bantamweight in Australia I'm sure not picking a fight with Shotgun anytime soon. The first time I saw Shannon fight in person was 2014 competing against a brutally tough opponent Diana Prazak and I distinctly recall noting the power, athleticism and grit Shannon displayed.  A fighter, a mother, a business owner and a daughter choosing not the follow in the footsteps of her heroin addicted mother. I love taking a peek behind the scenes of a high performers life and hearing what keeps that finely tuned motor running.
