We're spread across the country now, so getting everyone in one room meant we had to dig into the memories that have stuck with us over the years. The wild ones. The funny ones. The ones where Dad almost didn't make it.We talk about family holidays in New Zealand, including a trip to Paradise Valley where we got up close with lion cubs (friendly ones, thankfully). There's the story about the day I left Nat at a toilet block on the side of the road and didn't realise until we were miles away. We reminisce about Dad's endless jobs, his work ethic, his unwavering support no matter what – and yeah, there's the time he used petrol instead of diesel to burn wood off an old bus and got blown five metres back onto a pile of rocks. No eyebrows left after that one.
