EP269 - Neil Cole & Applying Church 3.0 to Digital Churches

This convo, right here, may be one of my favorite podcasts we've done to date. Years ago “Church 3.0,” a book by Neil Cole, was heavily influential in my life. Understand, Neil didn't write the book in a digital context. When he wrote “Church 3.0,” very few people were doing anything in the digital ministry space. But when I read this book back in the early 2010s, all I could think about is how some of these practices could exist digitally. So, similar to our recent conversation with Leonard Sweet, I loved this opportunity to sit down with Neil Cole and talk to him about Digital Church. Mind you, we're taking Neil's ideas into a whole new realm, but I counted it a pleasure to talk with another pioneer in a unique space. We delved into it in the conversation, but Neil was a decade or two before his time! As many contemporaries today are praised for their work in micro church areas, Neil was criticized for his work in the space (and, to be honest, I can relate to that).
