(Foto: Florian Miosge) Diesmal spreche ich mit DoP Daniela Knapp über den Kinofilm „Treasure – Familie ist ein fremdes Land“ und dessen Ruhe im Bild. Für den Roadtrip durch das Polen des Jahres 1991 arbeitete Daniela erneut mit Regisseurin Julia von Heinz zusammen. Sie berichtet über die ganz andere Dynamik in der Bildsprache, was zu der Entscheidung führte und wie die Crew die neue Herangehensweise umsetzte. Daniele Knapp und Julia von Heinz haben schon viele Filme miteinander umgesetzt. Die letzten Arbeiten waren immer wieder von einer Dynamik der Kamera geprägt, die den Filmen eine starke Unmittelbarkeit verlieh. Gerade bei &#8222;Und morgen die ganze Welt&#8220; von 2020 war dies tief in der Geschichte verwurzelt. Das führte zu einer Nominierung für den Goldenene Bären von Venedig 2020 und einer Nominierung für den Deutschen Filmpreis in 2021. Seit den frühen Drehbuchfassungen von von &#8222;Treasure&#8220; in 2021 konnte die Kamerafrau bei von Heinz und ihrem Co-Autoren John Quester mitlesen. Doch für Daniela und ihre Regisseurin war die Bildgestaltung diesmal eine andere Herausforderung. Der Ansatz der vorigen, gemeinsamen Werke war oft ein quasi-dokumentarischer, eine sehr begleitende, bewegte Kamera, die den Figuren durch die Szenen folgt. Das schien beiden hier nicht passend. Polen in 1991 Eine zusätzliche Herausforderung des Projektes war es, dass es an den Originalschauplätzen in Polen natürlich nicht mehr aussieht, wie noch im Jahr 1991. Da das Projekt keine Förderung aus dem Nachbarland bekam, fanden die Location Scouts dafür sehr viele, tolle Motive in Mitteldeutschland.
