EP29: It's All About the Questions with Laura Steward

from Brave Women at Work

Have you ever thought that asking the right questions of yourself could make a difference in your career and life? Well, my conversation with guest Laura Steward proved just that. Laura and I talked all about this very topic and how she has had an innate ability to cut to the chase and get to the very heart of the matter with questions since she was a little girl. You might be thinking, “Well, what if I don’t ask all the right questions?” What if I spin and spin around the issues and make the pro and con list and don’t seem to make the “right” decisions. (in air quotes). I’m so that person, making decisions with my head often and not my heart. Polling my mom, my brother, my sister-in-law and all the people without trusting myself. And bonus, not asking any other questions that could lead me to the right answer for me and my personal situation. Here’s the good news: We can all learn to ask these questions and be heart-led. So no matter where you are in your life and career, there’s something for you here in this discussion.   Laura and I discussed the following during the show: - What prompted her to write her bestselling book, What Would a Wise Women Do? - What autopilot means and how we can stop living and working in autopilot mode - Examples of how asking the right questions made a difference in Laura's life - How writing a letter to yourself, God, the Universe or whoever you would like can help you find clarity you need in your life and career   Show Resources: Brave Women at Work Website: https://www.bravewomenatwork.com   10 Steps to Being Brave at Work Freebie: https://www.bravewomenatwork.com/freebie   Join the free, private Brave Women at Work Facebook Community: https://www.facebook.com/groups/bravewomenatwork   Laura Steward Website: https://www.laurasteward.com/   Book: https://www.amazon.com/What-Would-Wise-Woman-Questions/dp/B00RKGNV3U/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=What+would+a+wise+woman+do%3F&qid=1624229127&sr=8-1   The Impostor Syndrome Files Podcast: https://www.google.com/search?q=The+Imposter+Syndrome+Files+podcast&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS793US793&oq=the+impost&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j69i59j35i39j46i433j46i131i433j0l4j46.2916j0j15&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
