(Foto: privat) Im Podcast begrüße ich diesmal DoP Philip Peschlow und Camera Operator Alex Kohn, verantwortlich für die Bildsprache vom Kinofilm „Hagen – Im Tal der Nibelungen“, seit dem 17. Oktober im Kino zu sehen. Ich unterhalte mich mit Philip und Alex darüber, wie sie bei Licht und Kamerabewegung an den emotionalen Gegensätzen der beiden Hauptfiguren Hagen und Siegfried orientierten. Wer sich die Nibelungen-Sage für vorknöpft, sollte tunlichst ausgetretene Pfade vermeiden. Das war auch dem Regie-Duo Philip Stennert und Cyril Boss bewusst. 100 Jahre nach dem Fritz-Lang-Film „Die Nibelungen – Siegfried“ bringen sie eine andere Sichtweise auf den Konflikt ins Kino. Grundlage für „Hagen – Im Tal der Nibelungen“ ist der aus Hagens Perspektive erzählte Roman „Hagen von Tronje“ von Deutschlands Fantasy-Autor Nummer 1 Wolfgang Hohlbein. Boss und Stennert holten dafür erneut DoP Philip Peschlow ins Boot, mit dem sie erstmals beim „Haus der Krokodile“ und zuletzt bei der zweiten Staffel von „Der Pass“ erfolgreich zusammen gearbeitet hatten. Philip holte als Camera Operator für den Dreh erneut Alexander Kohn an seine Seite. Auch für den Podcast lud er ihn ein, über die Kamerabewegung zu sprechen. Für mich war es sehr spannend mal diese Kombination an Kaeramleuten im Gespräch zu haben. Arbeitsaufteilung Am Set konzentrierte sich Philip darauf, neben der Lichtsetzung voll und ganz bei Regie und Schauspielern zu sein und den freiest möglichen Raum für diese zu erfinden – technisch und in ihrer Konzentration auf die Arbeit. Alex nahm in der Kameracrew eine zentrale, koordinierende Stellung ein. Die von Peschlow und den Regisseuren diskutierten Einstellungen sagte der DoP an, Kohn besprach dann mit Peschlow deren technische Umsetzung und delegierte die Aufgaben an die technischen Gewerke.
