EP3 Dr Poppy Gibson: Our Adoption Journey

Dr Poppy Gibson is a Senior Lecturer and Course Lead in Primary Education, at Anglia Ruskin University. Her key interests involve children’s psychological development, mental health and wellbeing. Poppy has worked in the education sector at a wide range of schools throughout London and has worked as a class teacher within both Key Stages, with various coordinator and management roles. She has experience working as an Inside-Out Prison Exchange Practitioner and obtained her doctorate in Education in 2019, exploring young girls' experiences of using social media, online interaction, and communication with others online in a 'third space', and how these interactions build up a social reality and impact upon identity formation. But that’s not all.  Poppy is also the Health and Wellbeing Ambassador for OxtonLadies FC, Lifestyle editor at Fusion magazine, an accredited life coach and she runs her own Education focused blog alongside hosting her own podcast slot with Teachers Talk Radio. . Oh and I should mention that she does all of this alongside being a mum of 3.
