EP30 - Disparities in Psychotic Disorder Diagnoses and Other Negative Health Outcomes

A study highlighted disparities in the diagnosis of psychotic disorders across racial and ethnic groups in the U.S. Black, American Indian, and Alaskan Native individuals were diagnosed with psychotic disorders at higher rates, leading to poorer mental and physical health outcomes, including comorbid conditions and reduced health care access. These findings stress the need for equitable mental health care.
