(Foto: privat) Mit DoP Jutta Pohlmann spreche ich im Podcast über die Bildgestaltung von „Hallo Spencer – Der FIlm“. Jutta erzählt uns, wie sich die Crew auf die Puppen einstellte, welche Herausforderungen es am Set zu meistern galt und wie sie Augenhöhe mit den Puppen herstellte – metaphorisch und ganz praktisch. Seit dem 13. Dezember 2025 ist der Film in der ZDF Mediathek, am 25.12. läuft er um 20:15 Uhr auf ZDFneo und am 28.12. im Hauptprogramm um 23:45 Uhr. Mit „Hallo Spencer“ schafft es jetzt eine deutsche Kinderserie in Featurelänge ins ZDF, der man das vermutlich nicht zugetraut hätte. Produziert wurde der Film von Network Movie und Jan Böhmermanns UFE. Deichkind-Musikvideo-Macher Timo Schierhorn führte Regie. DoP Jutta Pohlmann fand die Bildsprache für das ungewöhnliche Vorhaben. „Hallo Spencer“ war eine etwa 30-Minütige Kinderserie mit Klappmaulpuppen und lief von 1979 bis 2001 über 275 Folgen hinweg im deutschen Fernsehen. Die Serie war Ende der 1970er Jahre als deutsche Alternative zu den Muppetpuppen in der „Sesamstraße“ von NDR-Redakteur Winfried Debertin entwickelt worden. Set in Schulterhöhe Grund für die Wiederentdeckung war eine Episode von Jan Böhmermanns „ZDF Magazin Royale“. In dieser war „Hallo Spencer“-Schöpfer Debertin zu Gast. Hinter den Kulissen erfuhr der Moderator von Debertins Idee, einen Film über die Serie zu machen. Böhmermann war fasziniert und stieß die Idee an. Das war Ende 2020. Drei Jahre später fiel die erste Klappe. Der Tocotronic-Fan Böhmermann hatte Regisseur Schierhorn explizit nach DoP Jutta Pohlmann gefragt. Mit ihr hatte Schierhorn einige Videos für die Hamburger Band gedreht.
