(Foto: privat) Der erste Gast im neuen Jahr ist DoP Markus Förderer! Markus verrät uns, wie das fesselnde Kammerspiel „September 5“ von Regisseur Tim Fehlbaum entstand. Markus erzählt, wie er Licht und Kamerabewegung einsetzte, um Unruhe ins Bild zu bringen, warum sich die Erzählung auf die Perspektive des ABC-Sports-News-Teams beschränkte und wieso das Team nahezu das komplette Archivmaterial nachdrehte. „September 5 – The Day The Terror Went Live“ ist seit dem 9. Januar 2025 im Kino. „September 5 – The Day The Terror Went Live“ erzählt die tragischen Ereignisse des 5. September 1972, als während der Olympischen Spiele in München palästinensische Terroristen das israelische Olympiateam in ihre Gewalt bringen. Der Angriff und das tragische Versagen der deutschen Behörden bei der Befreiung stellen einen Einschnitt dar in der internationalen Bekämpfung des Terrorismus. Regisseur Tim Fehlbaum („Hell“) erzählt die Geschichte aus der Sicht des Sports-News-Teams des US-Senders ABC. DoP Markus Förderer kehrt zum dritten Mal an Fehlbaums Seite zurück. Mit gerade mal 27 Drehtagen war die Produktion nicht üppig mit Zeit ausgestattet. Regisseur und Ko-Produzent Fehlbaum hatte mit seinem Team von BerghausWöbke Filmproduktion einen internationalen Cast zusammengestellt. Peter Sarsgaard spielt ABC-Sports-Chef Roone Arledge, John Magaro ist Geoff Mason, Leiter der Senderegie, Ben Chaplin verkörpert Marvin Bader, ABC-Manager, und die Rolle von Leonie Benesch ist Marianne Gebhardt, eine deutsche Übersetzerin. Der überwiegende Teil der Dreharbeiten fand in den Bavaria Studios in München statt. Szenenbildner Julian R. Wagner baute dort mit akribischer Liebe fürs Details den fensterlosen Container des ABC-Teams nach. PODCAST CROSSOVER Wir sind nicht allein. Das wusste schon Fox Mulder. Zeitgleich mit dieser Episode erscheint drüben in der Episode 49 vom „Credit to the Edit“-Podcast ein Interview mit Filmeditor Hansjörg Weißbrich, der die Montage zu „September 5“ verantwortet. Hier durfte ich Rainer zur Seite springen und befrage mit ihm zusammen Hansjörg zum Filmschnitt – und in einem kurzen Intro auch Regisseur Tim Fehlbaum! Also direkt nach dem Anhören dieser Episode hinüber zu „Credit to the Edit“! Rainer Nigrelli betreibt nicht nur mit Jan Henrik Pusch den Podcast „Credit to the Edit“ sondern ist auch höchstselbst Filmeditor. Seine Filmografie umfasst den im letzten Jahr erschienenen Kinofilm „Führer und Verführer“, die ebenfalls 2024 veröffentlichte Disney+-Serie „Pauline“ sowie „Kroymann“, „Merz gegen Merz“ und viele andere Serien und Kinofilme.
